Rhonda Ravitz, OD has provided eye care for more than 20 years to adults and pediatrics in Monmouth County and local surrounding areas.
Specializing in the diagnosis of ocular disease and the fitting of contact lenses, Dr. Ravitz is dedicated to providing high quality care to all patients.
Dr. Ravitz received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Binghamton University and was chosen for the elite 3-4 program
which resulted in earning her Doctor of Optometry from The State University of New York College of Optometry.
Dr. Ravitz resides in Monmouth County with her husband of 25 years and their three children.
Dr. Wiedeman
Dr. Wiedeman brings to Eyes On First Ave her excellence in patient care and medical skills with over 30 years in practice. Dr. Wiedeman completed her undergraduate degree in Biology at Rutgers University and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry where she completed an optometry externship at Omni Eye Services in NJ, a tertiary care center, where she focused on pre- and post-operative care for glaucoma, cataracts, retinal repair, and refractive surgery as well as emergency eye care.
Upon graduation from PCO she completed residency training in Ocular Disease & Primary Care at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Lyons, NJ, emphasizing the treatment and management of ocular diseases where she provided both treatment and management of macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataracts, dry eye and various retinal diseases, as well as primary eye care in a multi-disciplinary, hospital-based setting. Dr Wiedeman is the recipient of Vistakon’s Patient Care Excellence Award and is pleased to be seeing patients in Atlantic Highlands. She is available by appointment for routine eye exams and contact lens fittings including specialty astigmatic and multifocal contacts in conjunction with diagnosing and treating eye diseases and works alongside the outstanding team of optical professionals at Eyes On First Ave.
Our staff and opticians are thoroughly trained and knowledgeable in all aspects of the optical field, including selecting frames that best suit the patient's face and style, recommending the appropriate lens and lens options, repairing eye glasses and sunglasses, and fabricating spectacles in plastic, metal, and rimless frames
as well as being up to date with the latest in contact lens technology.
